Jack pictures, age 5

Alright, so I'm a bit behind the curve, as it's a month past Jack's fifth birthday, but I've been a shade busy lately driving to Cleveland and back with Mum in the hospital (let's hope THAT's behind us!) Finally last week Jack and I got out to the picture studio and here are the results. I could be biased, just a tad, but is he not a gorgeous boy??

The Wisdom of Jack

  • When asked, as Red Power Ranger, why Jack was tooting so much today, "I don't know. He's a boy. Jesus just made him that way."
  • I don't have bare feet, Daddy! I have people feet!!
  • We were dropping off Nanny's car at the mechanic. I ran in to sign the car in as Jack stayed in the car, watched over by Miss Mandy. The mechanic came out to check something and Jack took one look at him and said, "Excuse me, you need to get out of here. This is my Nanny's car!!"
  • For Nanny's surgery: Heavenly Father, please bless Nanny that when they cut her belly, she won't say "Ow". Bless her to be brave. And bless her if she gets scared to hold onto my Batman car I gave her.
  • Mommmmmaaaa? I need a weapon.
  • (at a funeral, jumping around) Jack -- we need to be quiet. Why? Because Aunt Mary's family are sad, and Jesus said we should be sad with them. But Mommy, I'M not sad, I'm happy!!
  • Why does the moon fall to pieces sometimes?
  • Nanny, you should listen to Jesus.
  • Look at the stars, mommy. They are so brilliant.
  • Is Uncle Owen in Iraq? Yes. Are there bad guys with guns there? Yes. He better get out of there FAST!!!

How I know there's a Heavenly Father (..I wasn't smart enough to pick a husband this perfect.)

  • Proves over and over he would walk through fire for me. Better yet, will drive to Meijer at midnight for tampons and gummi bears.
  • Loves my mom.
  • Cleans the kitchen! (who cares if he has selective vision)
  • First thing he wants to do after work: play with Jack
  • Handles bath time!
  • Knows the answer to, Do these jeans make me look fat??
  • Always on my side
  • Loves cuddling on the couch in front of the TV
  • Addicted to The Weather Channel. Who knows why? But it always puts a smile on my face.
  • "Honey, I'd really like to get a hair cut, but isn't it too expensive? " "No, if it'll make you feel good, you should do it. What about trying some highlights??"
  • Loves the beautiful things of the world just like I do.
  • Four words: Cries at chick flicks
  • Knows not only WHERE the skeletons are buried, but what they are. Exactly. And still loves me!
  • The man LIKES TO SHOP. More than I do.

my sophie soulmate sent from above

  • we have a bond that will never break
  • laughs at my silly-ness
  • bumps into walls, just like me
  • doesn't get caught in strainers
  • builds a better campfire
  • gives stuffed animals their voice
  • triathlet
  • did I say she loves horses?
  • my soul mate
  • got politics?
  • life of the party
  • funny, outgoing
  • dream house: med size house with horse pasture at entrance
  • addicted to youTUBE
  • well of obscure not so historical facts
  • allows me to cry at those chick flicks
